Christopher Wayne Shadowens, age 38, of Greenbrier passed away on January 17, 2021 at his home.

Chris was born on March 1, 1982 to Phillip and Dixie Lynn Shadowens in Nashville. He was described as a loving and kind man who was helpful and always dependable. Chris enjoyed being outdoors creek stomping, fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers or junking with his dad. A perfect day was spending it with his dad fishing in Hendersonville, coming home to a home cooked meal by his mama, playing with his little girl and finishing out the day with a phone call to his sister. Chris loved to make the people around him smile and feel good about themselves. He enjoyed Alabama Football "Roll Tide" and listening to all genres of music from JellyRoll to the Crabb Family.

Chris is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Barbara Gillahan.

He is survived by his pride and joy, Allison Grace Shadowens; son, Steven Biggs; parents, Phillip and Dixie Lynn Shadowens; sister, Christy (Bobby) Kinslow; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Chuck Dickens; nieces, Destiny Kinslow and Alyssa Kinslow and an abundance of extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.

A Life Celebration will be held at 2pm on Friday with Pastor James Newsome, Brother Daniel Bandy and Brother Milton Anders officiating. Burial will follow at Halltown Cemetery with Kameron Parks, Justin Robertson, Charlie Briley, Mia Briley, Chris Jarrett, Billy Ray Gillahan, Cody Heatherly and Chuckie Jarrett serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 11:00am until the time of service. Online condolences can be made at www.SpringfieldFH.com.

These arrangements were entrusted to Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home and Cremation Center: 4005 Memorial Blvd Springfield, TN 37172 615-384-5437.
