C.W. "Wayne" Morris
Age 65, of Primm Springs, Tennessee
Passed from this world on Sunday, June 7th at his home, Wenloch West, in Tennessee.
Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan,
He was born in Paducah, Kentucky on November 11, 1943, to Cecil Kizer Morris and Dorothy Ann Kress Morris. He attended Memphis State University, and became a systems analyst at TACOM in Warren.
He was married for 26 years to his wife, Diane Wrouble, who preceded him in death in 1996.
He is survived by two daughters from that marriage, Danielle Belz James of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Christy Morris of Saint Claire Shores, Michigan; and three grandchildren, Luke, Max and Megan Belz of Rochester Hills, Michigan.
He is survived by his beloved aunt, Elizabeth Morris, of St. Petersburg, Florida, sisters Patti Osborne Michael of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Dotty Rapking John of Milford, Ohio, nephews Matthew Osborne and Tom Rapking and niece Emily Osborne.
After his retirement at 58, Wayne met his second wife, Catherine O'Connor. Together they purchased and renovated homes in Big Pine Key, Florida and Canyon, Texas. Wayne and Catherine then purchased Wenloch West in Primm Springs, Tennessee. The property had everything Wayne had dreamed for a home. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother in law, Margaret O'Connor Ann Arbor, MI, in laws Maureen and Dan Hayden Evansville, IN, Jerry O'Connor Jr. Ann Arbor, MI, Ann and Tom Warner Ann Arbor, MI Patrick and Lisa O'Connor Mason, MI Kevin and Rhonda O'Connor Ann Arbor, Michael O'Connor and Laurent Ferron Angers France, Karen and Patrick Eisel Dexter, MI, Margaret Ann and Graham Davis Mill Valley, CA and a number of nieces and nephews from Catherine's family.
Wayne made many friends over the years, from all walks of life.
He and Catherine shared a passion for the South, American History, Classic Fords, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, Jack Russell Terriers and Gardening. He became an accomplished gardener and loved to share his fruits and vegetables with friends and family.
He was a long time member of several classic automobile and motorcycle organizations, and a devoted member of the SCV Mechanized Calvary, which honors his southern ancestry.
His intelligence, humor, attention to detail, and devotion to his family and friends is the greatest tribute to his memory.
