Carlton Russell, Sr.

Age 73, of Hendersonville passed away on Oct. 2, 2006. Preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Lorene G. Russell. Carlton was a member of the Hendersonville Police Department 77-97, a life member of the VFW Post 9851, Commander 04-05, the MR Foundation of TN-Board Director and Sumner Special Housing-President-Chairman. He is survived by his daughter, Christe Endsley Jim; son, Mike Russell Pam; grandchildren, Brittni Endsley, Lyndsey Russell and Jonathan Russell. Family will receive friends from 2pm until 4pm and 6pm until 9pm, Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006 with a Rosary Service starting at 7pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 11am, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Our Lady of the Lake Church with Father William Bevington officiating. Eddie Davis, Rusty Russell, Dave Elinkovich, Doug Blake, Bob Underwood, Buddy Shaw, William Bill Braswell and Edward Ed Bruchas will serve as pallbearers. Hendersonville Police Department, Knights of Columbus, his friends at Bob Parks Realty, M.R. Foundation of Tennessee, Inc, Sumner Special Housing, Inc. and VFW Post #9851 will serve as honorary pallbearers. Interment will be in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville or Sumner Special Housing, Inc.
