Carl Newman

NEWMAN, Carl E., age 83 of Nashville, passed away September 13, 2008. He was born in Lancaster, KY on April 20, 1925. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, JoAnn Newman; sons, William Guy Newman, of Somerville, TN, and Mark Alan Debbie Newman, of Flowery Branch, GA; granddaughters, Alexis Rebecca Hooper, and Emily Jo Newman; and 4 great-grandchildren. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1943, served in the Philippines as St. Sgt in 11th Airborne, and graduated from Ohio State in 1950. Memorial services for Mr. Newman will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
