Bonnie Helton

HELTON, Bonnie Geraldine Jerrie – Age 94, passed away May 10, 2013. Mrs. Helton is the daughter of John Herbert and Lula Mae Gatlin. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bill Helton; brother, Nick Gatlin; sister, Reba Townsend. Mrs. Helton is survived by children; Richard Makiko Helton, Bonnie Robin Dolan, Ray Brenda Helton, and Cindy Jeff Craft; grandchildren; Mark Dolan, Leigh Anne Hackett, David, John, Stan, Mike Helton; and 5 great grandchildren. She was an active member of Bellevue Church of Christ until declining health, and an employee of Vanderbilt University Medical Center for 35 years. Mrs. Helton enjoyed travel and antiques, and was an avid bowler in her younger years. She will be remembered for her wonderful Sunday dinners, her love of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A special thanks to Jamie, Luann, and Grace, her caregivers. Visitation will be at West Harpeth Funeral Home 6962 Charlotte Pike, Monday, May 13th from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. with the service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
