Beverly Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, Beverly- Age 76, June 8, 2013. Born in Kenosha, WI January 9, 1937 and grew up in Michigan. Daughter of Harry and Marie Vance Elftmann. Married Don Bloomfield July 2, 1960 in San Diego, CA. She was a life-long learner. Graduated from Russellville, KY High School. Received her B.A. from Western KY State Teachers College. Taught 7th grade English/Social Studies for 10 ½ years in San Diego, CA, West Bridge Water, MA, Kenosha WI and Denver, CO. Received her M.A. in Library Science from the University of Denver. High School Librarian at Richwood and Manual High School in Peoria, IL. She retired in 1994 and then worked as a librarian for Peoria Public Library for 3 years. She substituted at the ICC Childcare center. Survived by daughter, Deborah Tom Hence; grandchildren, Randi, Suzy and Michael Hence; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Bill Cosper and Sandy Jerry Jensen of Kenosha, WI; brother, Maynard Elftmann of Baraboo, WI. Preceded in death by brother, Meryle Elftmann of Nashville, TN. Memorials can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Services will take place in Kenosha, WI.
