Betty Carolyn Fiser, age 80 of Springfield passed away on September 20, 2020 at NHC.
She was born on August 12, 1940 to the late Robert and Rosa Burnette and was a graduate of Springfield High School. She married her high school sweet heart, Mr. John E Reynolds and they were blessed with two children, Melody and Burnett. Mrs. Betty was a member of Mt. Denson Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Betty worked for many years as a nurse in the office of Dr. Hayes and Webster and later on Dr. Ronnie Jackson's office before retiring. She was known to many as "the nurse". Her care and compassion along with her unique personality, made her loved by so many. This also caused her to become an honorary mother to many of her children's friends over the years.
Later on, she received the best title of "Granny" when she was blessed with two grandsons. The countless memories like listening to the radio in her car, to driving and wrecking the golf cart barely scratch the surface of fun times spend together. She was described as "Sparkly, Fun and Never Boring", she was truly one of a kind and will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Fiser; son, Burnett Reynolds and sister, Martha Ann Powell and step grandson, Jake Russell.
