Barbara Alice Ray, age 63 of Springfield, passed away on December 14, 2019 at her home.
She was born to the late Bascom H. and Alice Ray in Nashville on August 18, 1956. Barbara grew up in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School in 1974. She worked for 33 years for the United States Postal Service until her retirement and began antiquing as a hobby.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her brother, Kenny Ray.
She is survived by her children, Rufus E. Head, III and Alicia Anne Head; sister Sylvia (Mark) Stiles and three grandchildren.
A Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 12pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am until the time of service.
