Barbara Cheryl Pearles,76, of Greenbrier passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born December 4, 1945 in Turlock, CA, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Clifford Green and Barbara Reuss Green. Cheryl and her husband, Joe, met as youths in California and married in 1964 after dating for 5 years. They moved to Oregon not long after they married and had two children, Jeff and Laura, where they lived until moving to Tennessee in 1985. Cheryl was a nurturer by nature and dedicated her life to her family. Once her kids were older, she decided to work outside of the home and took a job at a large law firm where she worked for over a decade as the firm’s law librarian, event planner, and hostess. Cheryl was also a very spiritual person, a keen observer who would “take everything in”, and a lover of life. She enjoyed reading and travel. She is survived by her husband Joe; her son, Jeff (Linda) Pearles; her daughter, Laura Brock (Dale); three grandchildren, Nathan (Mandy) Jackson, Amore’ Dukes (Jon), and Charity Brock; great-grandchildren, Pierse Jackson and Pryce Jackson, Aidyn Dukes, Ensley Dukes – due in May; her sisters, Claudia Wiggins and Carolynn Brizendine and brother, Steve Hall. A private family service was held at Springfield Funeral Home, with interment at Springfield Memorial Gardens, on Wednesday, February 2nd.
