Ann Adcox Crenshaw age 62 of Springfield, passed away on January 2, 2022 at NorthCrest Medical Center.
She was born Elizabeth Ann Adcox on November 14, 1959 to the late Buster and Elizabeth Adcox in Springfield. She was a caring person and took that ability and turned it into a life mission by being a private caregiver to those in her community. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Ann spent many nights in the stands at Jo Byrns High School supporting “Her Bruce.” Even though Bruce had the sparkle of her eye, she had two beautiful daughters, Chasity and Jessica, that she loved just as much and they knew Bruce was the favorite and later on her grandchildren. Her world revolved around her “Nanny Life”. They had many memories of playing Bingo and lottery. Meals at Nanny’s were epic, she would make different meals for family members. She was always thinking of others.
Her kindness and compassion to other will be remembered forever.
In addition to her parents, Ann is preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Biggs and Karen Phillips.
She is survived by her children, Chasity (Joel) Hanner, Bruce Crenshaw, Jr., and Jessica (Andrew) Richardson; grandchildren, Ethan Brooks, Elizabeth Brooks, Neely Crenshaw, Gracie Crenshaw, Zaine Richardson and bonus grandchildren, Anastin Snead, Kingston Snead, Kassydy Mair, Alex Dickey, Kaleigh Hanner, Ashley Hanner, and Maddie Hanner; siblings, Jim (Shirley) Adcox, Bill Adcox and Brenda Clinard.
A Life Celebration will be on Saturday, January 8, 2021 at 11am in the chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Brother Steve Freeman officiating burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jimmy “Stick” Edwards, Joey Hanner, Andrew Richardson, Justin Crenshaw, Ethan Brooks, BJ Phillips, Jason Crenshaw and Jacob Head serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Dickey, Zaine Richardson, Buster England, Kingston Snead. The family will receive friends on Friday 4-8pm then again on Friday from 9am until the time of service.
