Amanda Lauren Newcomb, a cherished daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, at the age of 33. Born on May 28, 1991, in Nashville, Tennessee, Lauren had a kind spirit and a brilliant mind that impacted on the lives that were around her and was profound and lasting.

Lauren dedicated many years of her life to her career as a Biochemistry Engineer. She was known for her intelligence and commitment to excellence in her field. Her academic journey began with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, where she laid a strong foundation for her career. She was currently pursuing her master’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University, showcasing her passion for learning and growth.

Among her many remarkable qualities, Lauren was not only intelligent but also kind, funny, and trusted by all who knew her. Friends would often remark on her ability to see the best in everyone she encountered. Once you had the pleasure of becoming her friend, you were bound for life by an unwavering bond of loyalty and love.

Lauren was adored by her family, who will forever remember her as a loving daughter and an exceptional big sister. She shared a close relationship with her sister, Ally Biggs, embodying the role of a great big sister with grace and support in all their endeavors. Her parents, Randy Newcomb and Susan (Kenneth) Biggs, along with her grandparents, Bettye (Billy) Choate, Nancy (Jerry) Miller, and Harriet Newcomb, and uncle, Scott Newcomb and Stephen Browne; aunts, Lucy Mills, Ruth Morgan, Sharon (Tinnon) Medley and stepsister, Jessica Biggs take solace in the warm memories they hold of her beautiful soul.

Lauren's passions were diverse and brought her immense joy. She had an unwavering love for animals and cherished her fur babies. She delighted in the simple pleasures of life, including flying kites, kayaking with family, and spending time outdoors. Her love for board games brought friends and family together, as laughter and competition filled the air. Music, reading, and writing were among her greatest joys, and she appreciated the uniqueness of the world, often taking time to find special treasures while thrift shopping.

Amid loss, Lauren's legacy continues through the love she fostered in her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit and kindness will be honored during a visitation and a celebration of her life at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Springfield, Tennessee. The visitation will take place on April 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Lauren is preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Newcomb, who will be remembered alongside her as part of her continued legacy of love and family.
