A.R. Reeder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and successful entrepreneur passed away on May 21st, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on May 26th,1943 in Joelton, TN to his parents William and Osie Reeder.
AR led a fulfilling life as a drywall man for over 40 years and was known throughout the community for his exceptional workmanship. He was also an accomplished entrepreneur with a sharp business sense that enabled him to achieve great success in life.
He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed taking them on trips to the Smokey Mountains where they made countless priceless memories together. He cherished fishing trips with children and grandchildren and always made sure to take a rock from each location he traveled to as a special memento.
AR had many other loves in his life including his dogs, dancing, yard work, bluegrass music, being outdoors, and caring for his beloved tomato plants - Bradley and Big Boys being his favorite variety.
AR was known for his kind heart and would go out of his way to make sure everyone felt loved. He enjoyed entertaining guests at gatherings with family or friends and never missed an opportunity to show off his incredible hospitality skills.
Springfield Memorial Gardens, Funeral Home, and Cremation Center will host A.R. Reeder's visitation on May 24th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (CDT), immediately followed by Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM Friends and family are welcome to attend both events.
A.R. Reeder is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delores Ann Reeder; three children - Jeffery R. (Vanessa) Reeder, Steven L. (Jamie) Reeder, Jennifer L. (Larry) Rice; nine grandchildren - Mandie Bethel, Caleb (Emily) Reeder, Dusty Dean, Kelvie Reeder, Bailee Dean, Rylee Reeder, Joey O'Saile, Dawn (David) Ladouceur, Jeremy O'Saile , Dakota (Josh) Marks; and ten great-grandchildren - Brodie Bethel, Hailee Reeder, Brylee Dean, Gloriana VanderPol, Leo McQueeney, Blayden Ladouceur, Bella Ladouceur, Blakelee Ladouceur, Liam Marks and Luca Marks.
A.R. Reeder was a loving husband and generous father/grandfather/great-grandfather who will be immensely missed by his family and friends. We will forever cherish the memories he gave us and hold him close to our hearts.
